I have two disabled brothers, one of whom died a few years ago, and my father suffered a stroke after an accident, so I have known, lived, breathed and loved to care all of my life. I saw how much my mother struggled to look after my brothers and faced stigma so I decided to dedicate my life to working in care to help other families, as well as my own.
“I used to do the invoicing for my father’s small business from the age of seven and was the breadwinner for the family from age 18 but I also knew that education was the best way to help and had a powerful drive to learn. I went to University in South Africa and then in Wales, all the while gathering experience in customer-facing and care industries.
“In 2007 I became a care agency worker and have been a carer ever since. Many people told me to set up my own business, but I have always loved to learn, to teach and to pass on experience and knowledge so I additionally worked at Oxford Spires as Head of Economics, Maths and Business. But care is where my heart is, and I set up Season Healthcare Living to provide care that delivers exceptional support for adults with physical and learning difficulties, degenerative conditions and complex health needs. I also want to help fulfil the dreams of other passionate, professional carers.
Our team comprises culturally sensitive, well-trained and experienced specialist carers, which means you'll be greeted with a friendly smile every day by someone you trust. We offer flexible hourly, overnight or live-in options so you can receive fantastic care whilst living in the comfort of home.
The staff and management at Season are second to none. Douglas and Mosleen are amazing. They are highly experienced, friendly and easy to get along with and always have our son's best interests at heart. My son can't wait to go out with them at the weekend and I feel entirely comfortable going away and leaving him with them overnight. I'm so grateful to have found this agency.
