We believe ensuring our carers have the best training will in turn ensure they do their job to the very best of their ability.
To ensure that all of our carers are fully trained for their caring role, we work closely with external trainers including The Health and Safety Group, Care Skills Academy, Charles Bloe Training, Continuing Healthcare and DHCT.
All new carers and support workers undertake the Care Certificate which lasts 12 weeks and consists of a two day induction; workbook assignments; work-based assessments and one-to-one mentoring.
Because we take training so seriously, we have also created our own Seasons Training Academy so our carers can top up their training at our specialist training centre in Bicester.
We are delighted to be known for how much we value training, so much so, that we now offer training to other care agencies, organisations and individuals who need to top up their training.
In particular, we have forged strong partnerships with continuing healthcare teams, clinical commissioning groups, GP’s and commissioners, which has enabled us to be one of the ‘Go-To’ providers for those requiring complex needs care and support.
The ‘Introduction to Complex Care for Carers’ course is a comprehensive program designed to equip carers with the essential knowledge and skills necessary for handling complex care situations.
This course covers a wide array of topics, including understanding complex care conditions, essential caregiving skills, practical applications, emotional well-being, collaborative care, resource utilisation, real-life scenario analysis, emphasising self-care, and varied complex care equipment.
By exploring these areas, carers gain the expertise and resilience needed to provide compassionate and effective care, especially when dealing with specialist equipment in diverse and challenging caregiving environments.
We know all the current challenges that Social Care providers face but with good business systems, management, and training, we can all deliver a high-quality service. We can support you to achieve this if you are thinking of opening your own business or diversifying your existing business because we believe we are all in it together and want to help develop and support the care sector in this country.
We supported a landlord, who was new to the market and offering high-end accommodation, with all aspects of the business set up as part of a move into supported living.
A new supported living provider had already set up their service but had issues with getting the correct rent. We supported them in negotiating with the local Housing Benefit department as their rent had not been calculated properly.
We supported a service to obtain CQC registration and to negotiate contracts with the local authority. We additionally provided business coaching support for the manager and company director.
